About the program
The Surmodics Radial-to-Peripheral Education Program is a peer-to-peer course developed specifically for peripheral interventionalists across all specialties. The course includes live case observation and focused peer-to-peer interaction.
Course contents:
Simple to complex procedures, ranging from angiography to below-the-knee interventions
Room set-up, staffing, and device selection
Case selection and procedural planning
Obtaining radial access, including screening for collateral blood flow in the hand; performing ultrasound-guided access; preventing and managing radial artery spasm
Recognition, preparation for, and management of radial access complications, including crossover to alternate access sites, dissection management, device length challenges, and arterial spasm
Post procedure patient management, including access closure and patient recovery
Course instruction and locations:
